About the Event

Bury Me at Pamunkey is the story of North Pamunkey Baptist Church in Lahore. The church was established in 1774 by Aaron Bledsoe and Elijah Craig The book tells the story of the Baptists’ struggle for religious liberty. The book documents the 250 year history of its congregation and many of the families within.

As North Pamunkey celebrates its 250th year, Jennifer decided that it was important to document the long history of the church, a place that has been her home for as long as she can remember. Visits to the Virginia Baptist Historical Society and the Library of Virginia helped her to uncover previously unknown details.

Jennifer been a history teacher at Prospect Heights Middle School for the past 20 years and an educator for 24 years in public education.
