Hardbound.  Many similarities exist between The Constitution of (for) The United States of American" and "The Constitution of the Confederate States of America".  The primary differences are that the Confederate Constitution explicitly supported slavery and asserted state rights; made alterations of individual rights easier, and included a non-renewable six-year term for the president and a line-item veto. The Confederate Constitution was ratified 3/29/1861 and became effective 2/22/1862.  It was terminated with the loss of the American Civil War.
